lISTENING TO OUR PEOPLE
Actively engaging with our employees
Our most recent global engagement survey centered on gathering employee feedback in four key areas: Grow & Flourish, Confidence & Communication, Empower & Enable, and Balance (work/life integration).
We are excited to see a 75% participation rate and 78% engagement score globally. Following survey completion, each senior leader meets with their respective teams to review survey findings, identify opportunities, and prioritize improvement areas as we execute against our growth strategy.
employee networks and groups
Helping employees cultivate connections & belonging
As part of the Equifax stand against racism, inequality, and intolerance in all its forms,
our employee networks come together regularly with our executive leaders to sponsor meaningful, open dialogues on critical inclusion and diversity issues.
Our employee networks, with executive leader sponsors, serve as valued partners
in shaping and amplifying our inclusive culture. With over 21% of participants and allies across the world, they are instrumental in our journey to attract, engage, develop, and retain diverse talent. Our current networks include:
Our Equifax team members are the cornerstone of our success. They’re the talented, creative problem solvers, who are motivated by helping others and creating positive impact in their communities.
For them — and the people they serve every day — we’re committed to building a highly collaborative, inclusive One Equifax, where everyone — regardless of what you look like, who you love, or where you come from — can be open about who you are and empowered by the opportunities we create to help you live your best.
We proudly share and demonstrate our Equifax Spirit through our commitments and partnerships.

Andrea Lawson
Chief Talent and Diversity Officer
At the heart of our Equifax culture are our shared values. These six ideals serve as guideposts for our entire global team, reminding us of who we are and how we must work together to move our vision and purpose forward.
We have focused our recent culture efforts on Leadership and Development, Employee Networks and Groups, and Listening to Our People. This top-down-meets-bottom-up approach is helping us cultivate more inclusive environments where our shared values shine and our teams are inspired to do their best work.
At Equifax, we believe inclusion is a deliberate leadership practice that must be cultived throughout your career to help create a sense of belonging in the others around you. When it’s realized, it’s a powerful force that engages our employees, business, and communities and helps them grow and move forward.
When I moved from the UK to work in the US over a decade ago, I learned firsthand what it feels like to be an outsider. It was through my own actions — and those of the people around me — that I was able to find my footing and become more confident and comfortable being myself inside a new culture.
A Message from our Chief Talent and Diversity Officer
Whether you work for us or partner with us, anywhere around the world, we want you to be you. We never want anyone to feel like they need to be someone else. We want you to feel safe in an environment where you belong, and that gives you what you need to move your career and best life forward.
I, and our entire Senior Leadership Team, are committed to fostering a culture where the brightest minds can live our purpose and values and be their best.

“When I received the all-company note from Carla Chaney, our CHRO, about Pride Month, it was the first time that aspect of my being was spoken to at work. My peers called me and said it was time to start our own group, so we set out to write a charter and launch Pride Network.
If what we do as an Employee Network within Equifax helps one person feel comfortable enough to come out at work and be their most authentic self, then it’s all worth it.
And I know for a fact that it’s doing that. I had one person come up to me recently and say it’s because of this safe space you’ve created that I’m now here, out and open.”

Driving industry-leading security, while growing a career and fostering an inclusive workplace
“I joined Equifax as part of our technology and security transformation. Our team worked across our various regions and business units to drive standardized processes. This is one of the most important roles I’ve held, ensuring we are trusted data stewards. I recently had the opportunity to relocate to Canada to act as Chief Information Security Officer for the region. I am driving us towards industry leadership around data, data security, and consumer care.
In May of 2020 I had the opportunity to help start our Black Organization Leveraging Difference (BOLD) Employee Network and join the leadership team. This gave us the opportunityto connect as a Black community and allies across Equifax. We can now come together and have a voice and outlet.
I’m proud of how Equifax takes care of our employees, so they can take care of our customers and consumers.”

Giving victims of violent crime control back over their lives and putting them on the road to recovery
“I have been with Appriss Insights, now an Equifax company, for 14 years, focused almost entirely on VINE. Victim Information and Notification Everyday (VINE) is a free service that protects victims of crime by providing them with important offender release and transfer information, while maintaining their anonymity.
This is a crucial and sometimes life saving service that provides more than 23 million automated notifications each year. Our call centers are available 24/7.
The VINE service has direct testimonials about how our agents and service are allowing people to reclaim their lives.
It was compelling to have a company the size of Equifax factor VINE into their Appriss Insights acquisition decisions, and to showcase their commitment with a $10,000 donation to the Mary Byron Project. It’s a great fit and meshes with how Equifax was already helping people live their best all over the globe.”

Helping employees develop their personal passions and purpose through the Equifax graduate development program
“I wouldn’t be where I am today without the Equifax graduate development program. While in one of my program rotations during the peak of the pandemic, I wasable to write a syntax that helped our Operations team form their COVID-19 customer response strategy. It increased their ability to use all the customer data available to them. We went from using less than 1% to nearly 100% data.
We were encouraged to create committees as part of the program, and a fewof us saw an opportunity to create a grassroots movement around recyclingand sustainability. Today we’ve grown into an active group with closeto 450 members. Seeing our annual Earth Week celebration take offand succeed is one of my proudest moments at Equifax.
As I wrapped up the Equifax graduate development program, one of my first managers helped me land a permanent role on the United States Information Solutions (USIS) business care team in Costa Rica.
I would have never had the opportunity to take on this first-time manager position if it wasn’t for what I learned in the rotational program. Getting to know the people of Costa Rica and how to lead them in ways that are culturally relevant has been so special to me.”

Combining new assets with new techniques to drive opportunities for Argentina’s unbanked population
“I have been working in Data & Analytics at Equifax sinceI joined the company 15 years ago. I have moved through different roles with a focus on decisioning. First, I worked solely with Argentina, then also with Paraguay and Uruguay, and now as part of Studio B, the Analytics team created three years ago to be an innovation hub for Latin America with almost 100 data scientists, supporting not just our 11 Latin American markets, but also Canada, Australia, Spain, and the US.
In 2021, we contributed to more than 1,100 different projects and products. While our work covers scores, fraud prevention, and more, what I am really proud of is our project to expand access to credit to Argentina’s unbanked population, which accounts for almost half of the total adult population in the country. Equifax is combining new data sources with new techniques such as machine learning to give banks the confidence toextend credit to more people without taking on additional risk. This means more people than ever can get credit for a new car, phone or to support their dreams.
Data and analytics can often be very abstract. Through my work atEquifax, I feel a stronger connection to society, and I know we are helping people. More people are being included financially, and more people have access to greater possibilities.”

Keeping digital consumers safe against rapidly growing identification and fraud risk
“I came to the US from India to finish my Master’s degree. About ten months ago, I joined Kount, an Equifax company, and I already knew about Equifax and their wide range of products, so I knew it would be a transition for the better. I was excited to join a company sitting at the intersection of data, analytics, and technology!
The Identity and Fraud space is challenging and fascinating, and the work provides an immediate sense of purpose. We are helping people protect their identities while also preventing billions of dollars in fraud. That sense of purpose drives and motivates me more than anything else.
There has been an overall increase of about 20% in fraud just in the past year. A product we released in 2021 focuses on one type of this fraud — credential stuffing. This product came along at the right place and at the right time, and the impact was immediate in protecting login credentials. This is just one of the ways we are keeping millions of consumers safe.”

Helping marginalized consumers with the launch of the Equifax Spanish-language credit report
“My joy comes from knowing that I’m really helping consumers. In the US,13% of the population speaks Spanish as their first language, and I witness this firsthand at my daughter’s school. As a member of the Parent Teachers Association, I regularly saw students translating for their parents. That was very enlightening to me and made me realize that these US citizens need our help and don’t need to be marginalized.
Shortly after helping lead the launch of the Equifax Spanish language credit report, I was asked to participate at my daughter’s school career days, which are mainly focused on professions that students already see and know like service professions. They don’t get to see desk jobs that are outside the ones they experience in real life.
I used the Spanish-language credit report as an example of what I do at Equifax and how we as a company find creative ways to build new products that solve real problems and serve real needs in communities.”

Utilizing cutting-edge analytics to provide greater access to credit in Australia
“The Consumer Financial Health Index was my first project at Equifax. When I moved to Australia from Peru, I heard so much about the people and culture at Equifax. After I joined, from day one, every coworker interaction I had was so supportive and collaborative. The whole team was willing to go the extra mile to deliver.
The Equifax Consumer Financial Health Index is a complement to a traditional credit score, giving lenders an extra piece of information to help them make decisions —often for those on the cusp of approval. I was driven to deliver this product knowing it will help people gain access to the credit they need to support their own financial goals.
This product is helping so many different people — young people just getting started, the underbanked, and people rebuilding their credit. While also giving lenders the tools they need to make responsible, sustainable decisions. It’s a big hit!”

Bettering our communities while championing diversity through our employee networks
“I joined the Equifax Black Organization Leveraging Difference (BOLD) Employee Network as Co-Chair to help support our mission of ensuring all employees feel safe and supported, while feeling a sense of belonging. Part of our strategic focus is also promoting the representation of Black talent at all levels of the company — something I’m passionate about.
I’m also extremely proud of the community work BOLD has supported. We partnered with Greater Atlanta Builds Credit and Georgia Fintech Academy for a National Credit Awareness month education program to support those in Atlanta who have not traditionally had access to financial services and education.
We were able to raise more than $10,000 utilizing Equifax’s Matching Gift program in support of Back to School programs in St. Louis and Atlanta!
I’m proud to be helping people live their financial best both at work and in the community!”

Our leadership has worked hard to provide a strong set of policies that clearly communicate our position against racism and inequality in all its forms. These robust, inclusive policies and programs include healthcare benefits for partners, equal employment opportunities, anti-discrimination, and anti-harassment.
To help leaders uphold these policies, we invest annually in unconscious bias and inclusive leadership training. All leaders, through two levels below our CEO, attend workshops each year to help them identify and address bias, lead sensitive conversations with empathy, and learn new behaviors and habits that cultivate a more inclusive culture. In fact, our teams have completed over 140,000 hours of professional and technical development including 32,000 hours of inclusion and diversity training.

Since launching GIVES in late 2020, more than 45% of our US team members have used the resource, and our Matching Gift program continues to surge, with more than 1.1M employee contributions matched in 2023. The platform has been championed by our Employee Networks and groups who have led campaigns such as Back to School drives which raised over $42k in six cities including Atlanta, Des Moines and Louisville.
Our Supplier Diversity program aligns with our focus on delivering financial capability to communities across the world. One way we are accomplishing this goal is the 2022 Supplier Diversity Roundtable program. It was designed and is sponsored by Equifax in partnership with University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and Stone Resource Group. This academic forum was created so that Atlanta companies could collaborate, share knowledge, and help drive economic growth for diverse suppliers.
